Knowing how to design a website that converges very well is one of the most important skills that you need to learn. The reason for this is that if you were to send 100 visitors to a website and converted 1 out of 100 visitors to make a hundred dollars. Now if you were to convert 2 percent of those visitors you would make 200 hundred dollars for every visitor that you send to the website.
In this article I would like to go through some ways that you can improve your conversions.
Make sure that at the top of your website you have a clear description of the benefit of your website. I see so many websites that do not have a clear description of what the site is about. When a visitor visits your website they need to know clearly what your website is about. The more narrow the focus is the higher that your profits will be. If the description triggers their hot button they will be more likely to view the rest of the website and buy from you.
Many websites have too many navigation links that you can click on. The more links that you have the more likely you will dilute the effect by having too many links. You need to choose your highest converting product and have less links on your site focused on that.
Use seals that encourage trust. For example this could be the Better Business Bureau. Immediately this will increase seals because some people that will feel nervous about ordering from your website will buy from you as it will inspire more confidence in your sales process.
Once you apply these techniques in your business you will notice a significant improvement in your conversion.
