Ralph Lauren RTW Collection At New York Fashion Week 2017
World famous fashion designer Ralph Lauren showcased latest collection at the stage of leading fashion event in the world New York Fashion Week 2017. Ralph Lauren is following the see-now, buy-now model that they used last season and the clothes that were paraded throughout the rooms will, along with those same flowers be in situ there, first thing Thursday morning. Although unlike the flowers they will all be for sale.
So what will the eager shopper discover? Firstly a palette that ranged from cream to caramel to toffee. Whether displayed as a satin hooded flying suit, or a tailored linen jacket, or a pair of loose sequin trousers, a practiced ease suffused the collection. Distressed leather was juxtaposed with a beaded macramé dress, a tight Emma Peel black leather jumpsuit was followed by a pair of well cut harem pants.
Billowing evening gowns in deep tropical hues were a rare note of colourful theatricality. The company has been undergoing some upheaval, the latest change being the recent departure of CEO Stefan Larsson, but this show confirmed that what was not changing was the central vision of Lauren himself and the world he has created.
