Many people find Pay Per Click (PPC) advertising to be a great way to get noticed without spending a ton of money to do so. However, if you want it to work well for you then you must have the right elements in place. One common mistake is taking people to your homepage when you should have separate landing pages. That way they can click on the link and immediately be taken to where they want to be.

While it is understandable that you want to keep your prices low for keywords, you also have to play the game. The goal is to make it affordable and at the same time to get a top raking spot. You can easily do this by using variations of keywords that are similar to those that are getting bid on at high rate. This will help you to be successful but to also keep the cost of this type of advertising low.

You really need to focus your attention on the quality of your ad though. Keep in mind that it will be short so you do not have much to work with to entice a customer. You do not want any filler – just the major aspects that will get them curious and that will get them to click on the link to be taken to your information. While you do not pay with PPC advertising if no one clicks on the links, you want them to take the bait and you want them to place their order from there.

That is why a quality landing page also needs to be a priority. You do not want them to click the link, you have to pay for it, and then they do not place an order. Make sure you take the time to test your results so you will always know what is working for you and what needs to be further tweaked to help you make more money.
